De Soto Falls
![]() |
De Soto falls is named because of some artifact allegedly from Hernando De Soto's trip to Georgia (1540) was found near it. There are actually three falls, but the Upper Falls trail was closed and I did not have the opportunity to see it. Pictured above is the middle falls, which is very pretty and worth seeing. The trail to the lower falls is about a quarter of a mile and the middle falls is about half a mile. Neither is a rugged walk. Below is another picture of the middle falls and one, to the right, of the lower falls. |
