Dukes Creek Falls

These falls are a sort of double falls in that two waterfalls emerge from two creeks at about the same point. The larger falls is to the left and, unfortunately, not as easy to see as one would like. Getting a good picture was difficult. The photo to the left is the best I could do in terms of the angle. Had I been alone, I might have tried to climb over the railing of the platform, but I was with friends and kids and did not want to set a bad example (I am polishing my halo even as I type this!). The larger falls to the left, though, is surprising sight and this falls is definitely worth seeing. The smaller falls is to the right and is pictured below. The hike to these falls is about a mile through the woods along switchbacks that take you down the hillside. |
