There are two falls here. Upper High Shoals Falls is also called Blue Hole and is pictured below. It is unique for the huge log that is stuck in the midst of the falls. Lower High Shoals is pictured to the left. It is about half a mile hike to the upper falls and an additional half mile to the lower falls. At one point in the trek, you walk through a beautiful bowl-type valley that is quite enjoyable.

Oh, you will have to cross over a ford to reach these falls and I recommend a vehicle that has a high chassis. My car shot out steam as I passed through, and I feared for the health of my engine.
