Holcomb Falls

1

Holcomb Falls is located about 10 miles east of Clayton down Warwoman Road. It is about a quarter of a mile pleasant hike to the falls and continuing along the trail will take one to Ammons Falls. Dianne and I saw these falls in winter just after a rain and they were quite spectacular. They are larger than one would expect and the cascading waters are beautiful. It is possible to climb up along the right side of the falls but the rocks are slippery and I would not recommend going too high. Here there is a viewing platform at the base of the falls.

On our way to the falls, we saw a hunter and worried a little bit that we did not have orange clothing, so I would recommend that you consider the time of the year when you go. We came out alive, though, and made sure that we talked loudly!
